Job Summary:

Overview:

Disney is seeking for an experienced and revolutionary leader, who consistently identifies strategic opportunities to optimize the profitability of the Consumer Products line of business across the region. This role will lead the CP teams to conduct all country level sales/marketing activities and to achieve defined sales target and financial objectives in line with the overall company strategy. The GM will also develop short & long term business plan and provide accurate revenue forecasts and will also work closely with key partners in the local market, building strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

 Drive Business Growth: Develop and implement robust product, brand, and licensing strategies that enhance brand affinity and revenue, effectively accelerating our growth initiatives and turning around underperforming segments. 
 Holistic Consumer Experience: Create and deliver a comprehensive consumer experience through continuous brand/franchise marketing, wide on/offline distribution, and innovative product offerings across all categories. 
 Local P&L Management: Oversee the local P&L, ensuring comprehensive planning processes (AOP, 5YP), accurate forecasts, and effective cost and margin management to maximize profitability. 
 Strategic Marketing Initiatives: Deliver impactful strategic and marketing initiatives aimed at maximizing revenue and achieving sustainable growth in line with business objectives. 
 Collaborative Strategy Implementation: Work in tandem with regional and global teams to implement corporate strategies that align with local targets and action plans, driving accountability and performance. 
 Alignment with Franchise/Category Leads: Collaborate closely with franchise/category regional and global leads to ensure alignment with global plans while providing essential local/regional insights and requests. 
 Maximize Sales Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities across all business lines, expanding and strengthening local partnerships with both new and existing partners to drive market share. 
 Cross-Functional Synergy: As the Head of Consumer Products, actively contribute to and collaborate with other Lines of Business (LoBs) to build synergy, identify new business opportunities, and enhance overall organizational performance.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

 

 Extensive Experience: Strong experience in retail sales, brand development, franchise management, and strategic marketing, with a proven track record of driving business results. 
 Innovative Mindset: Courage to think “outside the box” and challenge existing practices to optimize market growth and profitability. 
 Creativity and Innovation Leadership: Ability to inspire high levels of creativity and innovation within teams to enhance product offerings and drive market engagement. 
 Planning and Execution Excellence: Strong planning and execution skills, with experience in managing and overseeing the implementation of creative plans that yield measurable results. 
 Effective Communication: Persuasive, passionate, and effective communicator, skilled in articulating ideas clearly in both written and spoken forms to influence stakeholders. 
 Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of independently identifying and resolving issues while effectively communicating solutions to relevant parties.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

 Bachelor’s degree in a university
 MBA degree preferred
 Minimum 15 years work experience in Marketing/Sales for a leading multi-national company
 Previous sales and/or retail management and experience in motivating a large non-direct or direct sales force a plus
 Must be equipped with a strong understanding of Korea consumer market
 Successful in working in a matrixed multinational corporate environment
