This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality content review and Standards & Practices assessment across entertainment content distributed on Channels, Digital platforms, and OTT services, based on assigned portfolio responsibilities. The role will review local marketing and promotional materials, commercial content, and other entertainment content for the Korean market to ensure compliance with internal content standards, local regulations, cultural sensitivities, and audience expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality Standards and Practices (STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P)) review of shows, movies, series, trailers, clips, local marketing and promotional materials, digital assets, commercials, and other entertainment content across Channels, Digital, and OTT platforms.

  • Ensure reviewed content aligns with internal guidelines, Korean regulations, cultural sensitivities, audience expectations, platform requirements, and brand standards.

  • Assess and advise on sensitive content areas including violence, sexual content, profanity, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gambling, self-harm, minors, discrimination, religion, politics, social issues, and other culturally sensitive topics.

  • Support Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB)-related matters, including preparation of materials, coordination, tracking, reporting, and related communication as required.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P) reports, review notes, ratings, advisories, survey findings, benchmarking, market research, and related documentation in designated systems or team folders.

  • Handle enquiries from internal stakeholders regarding content issues, ratings, advisories, restrictions, regulatory matters, and Standards and Practices (STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P)) decisions.

  • Monitor changes in Korean content regulations, censorship guidelines, ratings practices, advertising rules, platform standards, and market sensitivities.

  • Partner with Content, Marketing, Programming, Ad Sales, Legal, PR, Operations, and regional Standards and Practices (STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P)) teams to provide practical Standards and Practices (STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P)) guidance.

  • Identify, report, and escalate sensitive content issues, compliance risks, rating concerns, or regulatory matters to senior team members, Legal, or regional/global Standards and Practices (STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P)) leadership as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Media, Communications, Broadcasting, Film, Law, Journalism, Cultural Studies, Entertainment Business, or a related field.

  • Manager level: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Standards & Practices, content review, media compliance, broadcasting, OTT, digital media, entertainment production, legal review, or content operations.

  • Senior Manager level: Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, including experience handling complex content reviews, stakeholder management, escalations, or policy/process development.

  • Strong understanding of the Korean entertainment, TV, OTT, digital, and film landscape.

  • Experience in content review, editing, ratings, censorship, broadcast compliance, advertising review, or STANDARDS AND PRACTICES (S&P) within the media or entertainment industry.

  • Organized, meticulous, and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and review records.

  • Mature judgment and strong sensitivity to content standards, cultural context, audience expectations, and reputational risk.

  • High level of content consumption across Digital/OTT, TV, films, variety shows, drama, reality, music, and social platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain content issues clearly and professionally to cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand and review English-language content and communicate effectively with regional or global teams in English.

  • Experience working with multinational media companies, broadcasters, OTT platforms, production studios, or digital entertainment businesses is preferred.
