We are looking for a Deputy Business Development Manager to join the Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL)'s Sales, Business Development and Distribution Marketing team based in Singapore, covering Indonesia region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a business development cast and support the Business Development Manager to achieve the stated KPI(s) including admission, room night, trade marketing activities as well as other related indicators for Indonesia markets
  • Take a supportive role in facilitate sales & marketing initiatives’ activation / execution across SEA markets
  • Establish solid in-market trade network, to identify market specific consumer and travel trade trends and support the Business Development Manager in the formulation of locally relevant distribution strategies
  • With extensive market insights, this role is required to develop, plan, and launch market relevant trade marketing programs to drive attendance and room night conversions.
  • Besides traditional travel trade, this role should be knowledgeable in online travel developments and able to tap into this growing trend to launch specific promotional activities leveraging on relevant OTA partners
  • Ability to negotiate and work with other 3rd party partners to launch promotion programs leveraging on resources from partners
  • Achieve or exceed the agreed goals of admission (theme park) and room night (3 hotels) from the respective region. Create market presence in different trade channels, formulate business development initiatives which contribute to the bottom-line and review timely on the distribution efficiency of existing account portfolio.
  • Support and work with Business Development Manager on all managerial issues related to the office.
  • Execute all agreed sales tactics and trade marketing programs (training and education included) for ensuring maximum efficiency on resources spent.
  • Prepare reports, updated account information, trade and competitors’ intelligence to Senior International Business Development Director.
  • Ability to identify market segment, develop products for specific channels (i.e. B2B / B2C / offline trade / OTA / eCommerce / Social & 3rd party) and derive appropriate marketing tactics to promote specific products
  • Deal with scarce resources allocation, balancing cost and benefit between the company and travel agents, motivating the trade in a sustainable manner with the ultimate goal of delivering results that is in line with the expectation.
  • To evaluate performance and qualification of wholesalers, allocation and utilization of co-op marketing budget, application of sales products in various distribution channels

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years' experience in travel trade operation
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Business acumen to identify potential area for business growth and hence prioritization on his/her job focuses
  • Possess certain trade network in the responsible catchment area to add value to both the team and company
  • Outstanding negotiation skills are needed to manage a portfolio of trade accounts in a particular catchment area
  • Able to work in a high pressure and business result-oriented environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills is required to bridge internal parties and build sustainable relationship with external parties

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
