About the Role
The Legal Operations Manager will be an integral part of the APAC Legal team, aimed at providing best-in-class legal operations management and legal practice support, and ensuring alignment across the region.
The role is responsible for auditing current systems and usage, identifying gaps, supporting the implementation of APAC legal operations initiatives and project managing change and alignment both of systems and of legal practice.
This is a front-facing role for an AI and legal technology “superuser” to help the team work more effectively and efficiently across the region and in coordination with the global Legal Operations team.
The ability to build strong internal and external relationships is critical, together with the ability to work with initiative, flexibility, and discretion. Confidence in presenting with clarity is essential and must be comfortable actively contributing to discussion as we explore how we evolve.
The role requires a highly motivated, tenacious individual who works comfortably and autonomously. He/she will also need to demonstrate their ability to manage priorities well, possessing a strong mix of technical, organisational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Legal Operations, Systems and Technology
- Audit and evaluate potential solutions to improve Disney LGA processes and provide clear recommendations.
- Develop and implement optimized processes for APAC Legal in collaboration with Global Legal Operations and relevant stakeholders.
- Support the testing of legal technology tools, including AI-enabled solutions.
- Gather use cases and requirements from APAC team members and translate them into practical business requirements.
- Organize and coordinate pilot programmes, collect user feedback and track progress of APAC legal technology initiatives.
- Work with Global Legal Operations to configure tools, develop integrations and support implementation where needed.
- Promote adoption of existing and new tools through demonstrations, training materials and APAC Legal Insider updates.
- Support lawyers in the effective use of AI research and legal technology tools.
- Monitor industry and digital trends, particularly the use of AI in legal practice, and share relevant insights with the team.
- Support Global colleagues to analyze data and prepare reports on key metrics, including contract volumes, cycle times, time savings, cost savings and return on investment.
Contract Administration and Legal Operations Support
- Lead and maintain contracts and agreements administration support, including use of online contract management tools.
- Ensure storage systems and methodology are aligned and appropriate.
- Provide a Centre of expertise for intranet resources, processes, standards, procedures, and tools.
- Support APAC section of Legal Database including ongoing updates.
- Support the team via continuous learning and development.
Requirements:
- At least 8+ years working experience, with proven track record in Legal Operations or similar.
- Law firm and/or Industry background preferred. An interest in a multinational media and entertainment environment an advantageous; experience working in a matrixed global organization highly regarded.
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders in a highly professional manner.
- Demonstrated planning skills, including project scheduling, estimating, risk identification/mitigation, and change management.
- Strong process orientation; solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
- Possess a curious, analytical mindset with the strong ability to apply data and insights to drive outcomes.
- Possess business acumen and proven ability to react quickly, and plan proactively to meet project needs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Has the ability to influence.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Strategy, Law or business-related field.
