Job Overview

Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service is also the exclusive streaming home for the latest releases from The Walt Disney Studios.
The Specialist, Programming and Content Curation will be responsible for providing assistance in executing programming and content curation plans for Singapore. The role is vital in supporting and recommending strategies to deliver high-impact curation, with an editorial calendar of initiatives that drive content discovery and maximize viewing time, which acritical to support broader business KPIs of subscriber retention and customer lifetime value. The role will become an expert/super-user in the Disney+ Scheduling and Content Management tools.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Market lead to leverage service, market, and behaviour data, as well as audience research to drive effective programming strategies, and create high-impact, curated programming events that leverage TWDC brands and franchises
- Plan and schedule content in a timely manner
- Pull data analytics to gain and share merchandising insights around audience, title, platform, and other elements of Disney+
- Collaborate with colleagues locally and internationally to align plans and amplify reach and engagement across all our customer touchpoints
- Assist in managing and developing an editorial calendar for multiple content genres
- Provide editorial recommendation on customer needs, content discoverability and ongoing product development
- Track the alignment of local planning strategies with overall global planning strategy
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equilvalent work experiences
- Experience in content strategy, content curation and scheduling on SVOD service is a plus
- Good understanding of The Walt Disney Company content library, brands, franchises, and characters that define them, and expertise to build further audience engagement. Keen interest in Asian content is a bonus. Good understanding of digital media platforms, including hands-on management of web, app, streaming, and connected devices.
- Proven ability to work across a matrixed organization while also able to self-motivate.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with local content guidelines and practices is advantageous.
