Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

We are looking for an intern who will provide support for the Media Networks Programming team in the Balkans in connection to content presentations, program screening, data management, audience reporting, ad hoc ratings analyses and activities related to production of monthly schedules and daily playlists.

While supporting both daily processes and long-term projects, on this role you can gain insight and understanding of the operation of linear channel programming and overall TV industry locally.

We offer a 12-month full-time paid internship under an employment contract. We need you to be able to work onsite at our Sofia office 4 days a week.

What You Will Do

  • Learn how to navigate Broadcast Management System (BMS) – What’sON.

  • Gain and share knowledge about programming content inventory used on linear channels.

  • Help the team in preparation of the monthly linear highlights presentations.

  • Cooperate with external partners (localization studios, operators, distributors) and provide all necessary information.

  • Learn basic knowledge about key performance indicators of channel performance and support the team in creating viewership presentations and reports.

  • Gain knowledge about on-air promo production workflow and help in the Mediator approval processes.

  • Screen new content and learn about selection criteria.

  • Understand TV media landscape in the region. Monitor competitors and provide information and insights from the market.

  • Support scheduling Team Balkans on playlist preparation & delivery.

  • Work with TV viewership data processing software for Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia, as well as with the company's social networks and websites.

  • Prepare various types of reports and analyzes for the viewership of the television channels locally, both in excel and power point presentations.

  • Provide the vital data to the Program, Sales and Marketing departments on a specific assignment.
     

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Good work organization, sense of responsibility and attention to details.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good command of English in verbal and written.

  • Proactive, flexible and positive approach to tasks.

  • Passion for factual and scripted content.

  • Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Power Point.

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

  • Ability to learn new software tools quickly and efficiently.

  • Curiosity about media and research.

  • Knowledge of TV/entertainment market will be a benefit.
