How you will contribute to our magical experience?

This position will work as part of the Softlines Product Design team, creating inspirational pitches and graphic developments across The Walt Disney Company's franchise portfolio for our licensing business. The Designer will oversee the product design process of licensee apparel, footwear and accessories from idea to execution, providing feedback through presentations, trend scouting, brainstorming, graphic proposals and working closely with the internal teams.

The Designer, Product Design will be responsible for:

  • Knowledge and affinity for the Company’s brands.
  • Monitoring all stages of the product design process in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Create and follow up fashion pitches & presentations, with a clear understanding of trends translated into product design.
  • Work closely with commercial and retail teams.
  • Ensure that the product development is aligned to the company strategy.
  • Participate in regular store-checks / Constantly search for references and new ideas.
  • Constant communication with the internal team for OPA approvals, and guidance to interns.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in fashion product design. 
  • Preferred Industries:  Fashion Design (textile, footwear, accessories), licensing, consumer products, design agencies.
  • Advanced level of English is required.
  • Required leadership experience:  Project management, great communication skills, collaborative spirit, teamwork.
  • Skills / key Competences: Knowledge in textile industry / footwear industry / accessories industry. Creativity and innovation. Knowledge and passion for TWDC brands. Great communication skills, both verbal and digital.  Presentation, trend analysis for mock-up and asset generation.  Focus on quality and attention to detail.  Strong sense of responsibility.
  • Technical / specific expertise:  Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (mandatory Photoshop and Illustrator). Knowledge of stamping techniques and production process. Presentation skills (Keynote)
