Job Summary:

Overview

This role supports Canada’s Marketing and Media Strategy efforts. A key goal of this position is to leverage consumer insights to develop and implement marketing strategies that will build awareness, enhance the brand and drive incremental visitation and revenue from Canadian tourists. The primary responsibilities will involve the development and oversight of comprehensive marketing strategies, with a strong emphasis on digital and social media, for Disney Parks and Resorts. The strategy team provides support to various destinations, including Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, and Adventures by Disney.

Type: Contract (12-18 months)

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy:

  • Assist with annual marketing strategy development
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners and agencies to obtain, analyze and interpret data to determine marketing program performance and develop future plans based on findings
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to assess offer performance, booking patterns, etc.
  • Understand Canadian competitive and economic trends, audience data, overall travel/tourism market information and provide insights into new innovations and new media channels

Media Campaign Planning and Execution:

  • Assist with the development of, and manage, the execution of annual and quarterly media campaigns; campaigns will have a strong digital and social focus but will include all mediums including YouTube, audio, OOH television, gaming and CRM
  • This role will be responsible for managing media plans with both internal and external agencies, assessing both parties requested budget and tactics and determining which strategies will utilize dollars in the most efficient way to meet marketing objectives
  • Support campaign monitoring and optimizations
  • Continually seek out new digital advertising opportunities
  • Manage pre-arrival and acquisition CRM campaigns
  • Manage the content strategy for consumer websites including launch of all offer and new product/celebration websites and/or microsites
  • Assist with ongoing budget tracking and reconciliation

Creative Development:

  • Work with internal and external agencies to manage the development and approval of creative required for campaign execution
  • Ensure Canadian insights, unique market and plan needs are communicated and included in creative executions

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing/Media Buying/Brand Building/Strategic Planning
  • Strong understanding of social and digital media buying, tracking and analysis is required
  • Strong familiarity with Social platforms and digital industry trends
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong business acumen
  • Experience managing creative development (in-house and external agencies) with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with remote teams
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Must be able to build PowerPoint presentations and be proficient in Excel and Word
  • A valid passport and driver’s license are required
  • Legally able to travel to and drive in the United States
  • French oral/written skills are an asset
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent
