Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and commercially minded Sr. Manager, Finance & Analysis to support business planning, strategic decision-making, and long-term growth.

The role is responsible for financial planning and forecasting, pricing and commercial analysis, content acquisition evaluation, business case development, and performance insights. The successful candidate will partner across the organization to translate data and market dynamics into actionable recommendations that drive business performance and growth.

Areas of Responsibility & Qualifications

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead annual operating plan (AOP), long-range planning (LRP), quarterly forecasts, and ongoing business performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Analyze business performance against targets and identify key risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Lead revenue, subscriber, and profitability forecasting across the Disney+ Canada business.

Commercial Analysis & Business Planning

  • Lead commercial analysis and strategic recommendations to support Disney+ Canada's commercial strategy.
  • Evaluate pricing, promotional, bundling, and subscriber growth initiatives.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and industry analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop business cases and scenario analyses to support strategic investments and commercial decisions.
  • Partner with leadership to assess new business opportunities and growth initiatives.

Content Strategy & Acquisition Analysis

  • Lead financial evaluation and business case development for third-party content acquisition opportunities.
  • Analyze content performance and projected subscriber, engagement, and revenue impact.
  • Develop recommendations to support content investment decisions.
  • Partner with Content and Programming teams to evaluate and prioritize acquisition opportunities.
  • Monitor content performance and identify opportunities to optimize content investment strategy.

Analytics & Insights

  • Generate actionable insights across subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.
  • Analyze content, marketing, commercial, and partnership performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Define, track, and maintain key business metrics and KPIs.
  • Translate complex data into clear business recommendations and strategic actions.
  • Support development of dashboards, reporting tools, and measurement frameworks.

Partnerships & Monetization Analysis

  • Analyze performance of platform distribution, bundle, and third-party partnerships.
  • Assess monetization performance and revenue opportunities across the business.
  • Support evaluation of new partnerships and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop forecasts and business cases to support leadership decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in finance, strategy, consulting, corporate development, commercial planning, analytics, or related fields.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience supporting annual planning, forecasting, and executive reporting processes.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Media, technology, direct-to-consumer, subscription, or entertainment industry experience preferred.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced designation is considered an asset.


The hiring range for this position in Ontario, Canada is C$136,300 to C$182,800 CAD per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
