Reporting to the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, the D&I Senior Manager will help develop, implement, and assess strategies, programs, and events in support of the studio’s strategic diversity and inclusion commitments. The Sr. Manager will partner with studio-wide stakeholders and colleagues across Disney Entertainment to identify, communicate, and influence opportunities to embed diversity in stories and staff composition, as well as facilitate equity and belonging across the studio.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership and project management support for Lucasfilm’s global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), ensuring all employee groups are maximizing engagement and impact

  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure success, glean takeaways, and incorporate them into future ERG strategy and global D&I initiatives

  • Collaborate with the Director to uncover insightful ways to strengthen the global ERG’s impact by offering best practices, professional development opportunities, and progress tracking per location (San Francisco/Burbank, London, Vancouver, Sydney, and Mumbai)

  • Serve as a subject matter expert through D&I consultation, global ERG development and management, and collaboration with business partners at each of our global studios (San Francisco/Burbank, London, Vancouver, Sydney, and Mumbai)

  • Support Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Animation Studios (Vancouver), and The Walt Disney Company on projects, such as annual conferences, employee group alignment, cultural observance celebrations/events, community outreach, etc.

  • Deliver compelling and concise communication to a wide range of audiences

  • Develop and implement global ERG management processes and best practices, membership management, board recruitment and onboarding, term limits, recruitment, and programming opportunities

  • Stay current on DEI philosophies and approaches by maintaining relationships with others in the field

  • Represent Lucasfilm and effectively share our D&I journey with industry peers, professional associations, etc.

  • Model principles associated with inclusive leadership, such as curiosity, vulnerability, humility, empathy, creativity, active listening, etc.

  • Develop and implement D&I programs in complex, global organizations

  • Analyze data to find opportunities to increase organizational efficiency

  • Understand common HR, strategy, and operations responsibilities allowing you to navigate business needs, corporate ecosystems & cultural nuances

  • Manage successful business partnerships, projects & relationships

  • Execute with outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including executive-level leaders

  • Thrive in a creative environment

  • Demonstrate successful track record in other companies

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of Diversity & Inclusion experience with a global company or production studio

  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams

  • 5+ years of program/project management experience, including tracking impact and reporting progress

  • 3+ years of ERG management experience

  • Strong Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, and WordPress skills are required

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Excellent teamwork and client service skills and an ability to interact effectively with all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reviewing, understanding, and analyzing DEI data 

  • Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and/or graphic design experience

The hiring range for this position in Vancouver, BC, Canada, is C$123,000.00 - C$165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other variable pay or benefits, may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
