Job Summary:

At Walt Disney World, creating a clean, safe, and show-ready environment takes a strong team working behind the scenes. The 3rd Shift Facilities Cast Member plays an important role in maintaining overnight cleanliness and sanitation in backstage Food & Beverage areas, with a primary focus on kitchen deep cleaning and degreasing.
In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and degreasing kitchen floors, walls, doors, vents, drains, drain covers, stainless steel surfaces, grill tops, ovens, and other Food & Beverage areas. This position combines elements of facilities cleaning, custodial work, and kitchen sanitation, and requires use of manual cleaning methods as well as specialized floor care equipment. This role is primarily performed overnight and in backstage kitchen and support locations.

Full Availability required Sundays; Wednesdays & Fridays

Responsibilities:

What You Will Do
  • Perform overnight deep cleaning of backstage kitchen and Food & Beverage areas
  • Clean and degrease kitchen floors, walls, doors, vents, drains, and drain covers
  • Clean and sanitize stainless steel surfaces, counters, storage areas, and trash areas
  • Clean grill tops, ovens, and other kitchen equipment exteriors as assigned
  • Sweep, dust, mop, scrub, and wash designated areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • Use floor care cleaning equipment and other specialized cleaning tools
  • Pressure wash patios, walkways, and other concrete areas, as needed
  • Use ladders or scaffolding to clean walls, vents, windows, and other elevated surfaces
  • Shampoo carpets using portable trailer mounts, as assigned
  • Operate forklifts and utility trailers, as needed
  • Empty trash cans and transport trash and recyclables appropriately for disposal
  • Clean, scrub, wash, and replace trash cans and liners
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of back dock and other support areas, which may include pressure washing
  • Inspect work areas regularly to ensure cleaning standards are maintained
  • Follow proper sanitation, HACCP, and chemical handling procedures
  • Ensure chemical storage areas are neat, safe, and orderly
  • Clean hazardous spills using proper procedures and Disney-supplied protective gear
  • Clean and maintain tools, floor care equipment, and other assigned cleaning equipment
  • Work safely in wet, greasy, confined, noisy, indoor, and outdoor environments
  • Perform all job responsibilities safely while using required personal protective equipment

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to work 3rd shift / overnight hours on a regular basis
  • Full availability for any shift, a minimum of three (3) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 pounds
  • Comfortable working at different heights, including use of ladders or scaffolding
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, degreasers, and sanitation products
  • Ability to safely operate floor care cleaning equipment and other cleaning tools
  • Ability to work in areas with loud noises, slippery surfaces, temperature changes, and confined spaces
  • Understanding of proper sanitation and safe cleaning practices
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong listening skills and willingness to learn new skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous custodial, facilities, kitchen cleaning, stewarding, or sanitation experience
  • Previous experience with deep cleaning or degreasing commercial kitchen environments
  • Previous experience using pressure washers, specialized floor cleaning equipment, buffers, scrubbers, or carpet cleaners
  • Experience operating forklifts, utility trailers, or ride-on sweeper/scrubber equipment
  • Previous experience working in hospitality, tourism, Food & Beverage, or restaurant environments
  • Bilingual skills

Additional Information:

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 10:00pm while some may end as late as 7:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.

This position has a starting rate of $24.95 per hour.
