The HR Assistant will consistently deliver Disney's Five Core Guest Service Principles and will be empowered to engage the Cast and provide exceptional service across Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support and maintain day-to-day accountabilities in HR office
• Responsible for preparing communication to all levels within the organization, executives, line of business leaders and Cast members
• Collaborate with local and Walt Disney World Partners to deliver on HR initiatives
• Coordinate recognition programs, staying current on global recognition guidelines, changes and timelines. This also involves procuring and tracking awards, maintaining reports, and the coordination of the nomination/selection process for certain awards
• Plan, coordinate and execute Cast Events ensuring appropriate use of resources, including budget, recognition guidelines etc
• Coordinate/Assist with special projects
• Assist the Cast Support Manager with recruiting efforts through sourcing candidates in the applicant tracking system, scheduling interviews and assisting with hiring events
• Ensure a seamless on-boarding process for all hires and transfers
• Assist in the Workers Compensation process, supporting HRBP, Leaders and Cast members
• Run reports and assist with tracking HR metrics
• Organize, promote and support local Community Engagement Activities
• Uphold the highest quality standards in the Resort, including high levels of confidentiality and Disney Look guidelines throughout the Resort
• Provide support as needed on cross-functional HR initiatives, including training-related activities, as needed to ensure a seamless Cast experience
Required Qualifications:
• 1+ year of professional experience
• Passion or interest in Human Resources or related fields
• Ability to maintain extremely high levels of confidentiality
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of Cast, partners and diverse personalities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently and be part of a team environment
• Proven ability to think creatively and partner in problem solving
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers (MS Excel; MS Publisher, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SAP, Canva)
• Excellent follow through and Guest Service Skills
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, if needed
The pay rate for this role in Vero Beach, FL is $22.16-$29.72 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
