Job Summary:

This Sr Executive Assistant provides executive support to the EVP, Content at National Geographic Content. The EVP of Content oversees all of the content created by National Geographic across television, editorial and social and manages teams in Washington DC, New York, Los Angeles and London.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the complex scheduling of multiple internal and external meetings and communications

  • Coordinate travel plans and create detailed itineraries

  • Create presentation decks, reports, and analyses for Executives at NG Content and Disney. These may be daily, weekly, or monthly.

  • Preparation of all business-related expenses using Concur/SAP travel proxy role in a timely manner and checking all direct reports’ expenses are coded appropriately.

  • Any other administrative related requests

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a media organization or similar in an EA role working with senior executives as well as experience of liaising with C-Suite and Chief Exec EAs

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Diplomatic skills when working on challenging projects.

  • Requires strict confidentiality, independent decision-making, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Must efficiently anticipate executive needs, maintain office systems, and work professionally with diverse personalities.

  • A collaborative team player re: supporting all staff in the department and proactive.

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for meeting requests and calendaring; ability to adapt easily and to learn internal systems

  • Quickly adapts to learning new technology, workflows, software and systems. Extremely detailed oriented, comfortable multi-tasking manages time effectively, efficient, organized, takes initiative with little direction and is self-motivated.


The hiring range for this position in Washington, D.C. is $65,272 to $87,560 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
