Job Summary:

The Materials Program Specialist provides professional leadership of materials management activities supporting Hotel Engineering Services. This position leads the work associated with inventory health, warehouse operations, purchasing coordination, vendor performance, and financial tracking. The role does not include direct people management, but provides guidance, coordination, and process leadership.

This role will report to the Manager – Facility Shared Services Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day inventory health and materials availability across multiple hotel warehouses.

  • Analyze inventory usage, cycle count results, and trends to support stocking decisions.

  • Establish, maintain warehouse, and improve upon operations, storage standards, environmental and safety practices.

  • Perform and manage materials and services purchasing practices, including end‑to‑end management of open purchase orders.

  • Coordinate with vendors on delivery performance, escalations, invoicing and alternate materials. Identify and qualify new vendors where appropriate.

  • Track open orders, invoices, and past-due spend, and signal potential budget risk.

  • Verify, track, and submit invoices, reconcile and resolve invoice discrepancies.

  • Compile and communicate operational and financial metrics to leadership.

  • Support implementation of vendor-managed inventory and process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and training materials.

  • Provide informal guidance and prioritization support to Sr. Warehouse Clerk.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in materials management, inventory control, procurement, or warehouse operations.

  • Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory systems such as SAP, Maximo, and Coupa.

  • Ability to analyze data and apply professional judgment within established guidelines.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

The pay rate for this role in Anaheim, CA is $30.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
