Responsibilities:
- Assist in the care of our population of southern stingrays including food preparations of raw shellfish, standing, swimming, snorkeling, and working in water, on sand, and in sun for much of the day.
- High levels of guest interaction and facilitating guest experience with feeding of stingrays.
- Provide general cleaning, maintenance support, and physical work to support the program and equipment.
- Checking in guests at the Stingray Hut. Assisting with walk-up sales receipts
- Providing guests information and description of the program
- Cleaning, sanitizing and organizing all snorkel equipment
- Provide instruction and safety information to guests in the operation of snorkel equipment.
- Making guest’s feel comfortable with aquatic marine animals
- Facilitate interaction program by providing a brief presentation and demonstration on how to feed Stingrays.
- Assist guests with feeding of stingrays
- Maintain cleanliness of island beach facilities –Duties include picking of trash and seaweed from the beach, cleaning division nets in the water, straightening and cleaning of beach chairs and lounges
- Preparation of animal diets (will be handling seafood)
- Feeding and training of Stingrays and assorted marine fish
- Provide assistance in cleaning and maintaining a flow through fish holding facility/filtration system
- Driving small vehicles
- Snorkeling and Swimming to locate animals, check net integrity, check animal health
Basic Qualifications:
- Customer Service
- High level of comfort in ocean water, changing tides
- Strong swimming skills/snorkeling skills
- High level of comfort working with, around, and handling large aquatic animals
- High level of comfort with Formal and Informal Public Speaking / Guest Interaction; high energy
- SCUBA certification
- Small boat handling experience/skills

This role is based on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.Applicants must:
- Be interested in working on a private island in the Bahamas
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency duties and/or associated responsibilities
- Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in areas and operations under their control
- Be willing to follow and embrace Environmentality requirements and Company practices
- Be appreciative of working and living in a multi-cultural environment
- Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations
- Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
