Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst, Compensation (Project Hire) with the Disney Entertainment Television Compensation team! This role will have the opportunity to be part of a team that manages both broad-based and executive compensation for a dynamic business focused on crafting compelling, innovative television content. The role will be reporting to a Manager, Compensation and is located in Burbank, CA.

The Analyst provides compensation guidance to assigned internal clients and collaborates with People and Culture partners in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that support the company’s business strategy to attract and retain top talent. The role will require strong client management skills and collaboration with multiple People and Culture teams.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Compensation leadership, Business Partners and Talent Connection as the Compensation Partner for a client group, or subset of a large client group, under direct guidance of a Compensation team lead.
  • Provide guidance and pay recommendations for new hires and employees in client group.
  • Participate in the implementation and management of Annual Compensation Planning cycle for client groups.
  • Responsible for compensation benchmarking in third party compensation platform. Assist the compensation team in preparing and submitting data for various salary surveys.
  • Provide project management support for compensation initiatives, including harmonization, pay transparency, annual comp planning process, etc.
  • Assist with audits and analyses related to pay equity and transparency, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for alignment.
  • Create and maintain job families, grade profiles, salary structures, and hiring ranges.
  • Process and approve compensation items in Workday.
  • Assist in the design of non-routine reports to support the needs of the Compensation team.
  • Provide input on requirements, as well as test new and updated compensation processes, systems, and tools.
  • Partner with Compensation team members to create new tools/reports for the Compensation team.
  • Conduct audits and ad hoc compensation analyses to ensure data integrity and consistency in pay practices and job classifications.
  • Assist with various compensation-related projects as needed, including process improvements, systems implementations, pay transparency initiatives, and client specific harmonization projects.
  • Review job descriptions and assist with FLSA review process to determine correct exemption classification of roles.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Compensation, Human Resources, Finance or equivalent with a large corporate employer or leading consulting firm.
  • Basic understanding of various compensation programs, practices, and trends.
  • Ability to make sound recommendations based on compensation principles and philosophy.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple assignments, and operate with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines and client deliverables.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a flexible, often ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively with a commitment to accuracy and details.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with high attention-to-detail.
  • Ability to support project‑based work, including coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and meeting milestones across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences.
  • Knowledge of FLSA, pay equity, pay transparency, and other relevant employment laws is a plus.
  • Strong sense of teamwork.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR systems (Workday/SAP/Success Factors).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
  • Knowledge of MS Access and/or Tableau is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent work experience.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, Glendale is $87,200 to $106,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
