A day in the life of a Security Operations Manager…
- Manage, evaluate, motivate, mentor, and coach a diverse union Security workforce
- Oversee swings and grave shifts and other on-call duties including weekends and holidays as needed
- Develop productive security officers through consistent performance improvement, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Manage and execute West Coast Security Operations (WCSO) Shift Leads in security officer deployment and long-term scheduling, including special details
- Prepare and lead Security for large events involving guests and employees on property
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for all security matters in your assigned area
- Implement security strategies by evaluating ongoing and emerging threats to company property, employees, and brand
- Collaborate on the creation of long-term strategies to evolve operations, with the appropriate key stakeholders and seek to incorporate new technologies and maximize resource effectiveness
- Implement and deliver training to ensure officer compliance with departmental objectives and certifications
- Audit and quantify recent security incidents, recommend training topics, and work collaborate with the responsible entity to deliver training
- Manage administrative duties, including payroll and scheduling for Security Officers, as well as coordinate equipment maintenance as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of chargebacks for security services, and the reconciliation of invoices
- Collaborate with Manager, Security Operations to identify, schedule, and project manage day-to-day operational expenses
- Cultivate strong working relationships with internal partners, including Productions, Operations, Facilities, HR, and Executive Leadership
- Work alongside Global Security Investigations and Human Resources/Employee Relations team to conduct inquiries into criminal activities and company policy violations; prepare excellent objective and thorough documentation of all inquiries
- Establish and maintain relationships with law enforcement and government officials across multiple jurisdictions
- Partner with other Global Security disciplines to create a synergized, best-in-class security operation
- Align with WCSO Leadership in managing the overall security program's capital and expense budget
- Network with security professionals within and outside the entertainment industry to identify emerging threats, evolve policies, and align on shared security concerns
- Establish action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements to accomplish department objectives
- Allocate resources effectively and make necessary adjustments to ensure goal achievement
- Be prepared for regular evening and weekend work, including special events/productions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Here is what you will need to be successful in the role…
- +6 years of experience in corporate security, operations, or a related field
- +3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proven track record of success in positions with increasing responsibility
- Exceptional ability to analyze complex situations, interpret diverse operational activities, and build consensus
- Proactive in identifying opportunities to add value and position the organization for future success
- Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in ambiguous situations, learning from both successes and failures
- Outstanding leadership abilities with a talent for influencing and inspiring teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build trust and foster self-confidence through respect and open communication
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Utilized programs such as Lenel, Genetec, and D3 Case Management System
- Comprehensive understanding of visitor management, security camera systems, and access control systems
- Commitment to personnel development through education and training initiatives
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Capable of managing multiple complex tasks independently
- Demonstrated success in partnering with diverse organizations to achieve specific goals
- Experience collaborating effectively in highly unionized environments

The hiring range for this position in California is $78,200.00 - $104,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
