The Senior Sourcing Specialist for technology will be part of a global Enterprise Sourcing team, whose goal includes successfully completing sourcing engagements within a broad scope of spend supported by Disney business segments. What You Will Do

Be accountable individually, as a team member, and/or as a project leader for a portfolio of projects spanning from project intake, facilitating RFPs, contract negotiations and execution. Expected to use cross-functional teams to successfully leverage and contribute to meeting financial budgets and cost synergies. This position may be working with various levels of leadership including VP stakeholders and Sourcing leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support cross-functional teams through full life-cycle sourcing projects including project planning & management, analysis & strategy, supplier evaluation & selection, negotiation, and ongoing supplier relationship management

  • Develop and apply standardized and meticulous approach to financial analysis related to sourcing including bid analysis, cost savings methodology, and weighted RFP scoring

  • Build and deliver compelling quantitative analyses and solution-focused presentations that influence key decision-makers

  • Liaise between Legal, partners, and suppliers to facilitate the contract process, ensure work deliverables and payment milestones are clearly defined, and bring the finalized contract to fruition

  • Lead internal workgroups and quarterly business reviews to provide guidance, help resolve problems, and effectively communicate to improve process flow and relationships

  • Cultivate customer relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business needs and providing sourcing services, both strategic and tactical, that exceed their expectations

  • Encouraging a collaborative environment among partners and with other supporting teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, Segment-specific Sourcing teams, etc.)

This role can be based in Lake Buena Vista, FL; Glendale, CA; or Seattle, WA Office

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of sourcing or related experience

  • Experience leading RFPs, ensuring the customers are providing robust requirements and planning

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to perform detailed Excel analysis

  • Strong project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years supporting the sourcing of technology, professional services, including experience in a leading role in the sourcing of a large-scale IT managed services agreement for a Fortune 100 company.

  • Internal or external business consulting experience

  • Experience working for a large managed services provider

  • Experience litigating disputes over large managed services IT agreements.

  • Experience in crafting and implementing new processes in a complex environment

  • Experience in media/entertainment industry

  • Experience working for and negotiating with Fortune 100 companies

  • Experience with Ariba or other eProcurement tools

  • Experience with SAP

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Education

  • Advanced degree including MBA or JD and understanding of contractual enforcement and remedies as well as pricing analysis and modeling experience


The hiring range for this position in Burbank is $101,800 to $124,400 per year and in Seattle, WA is $106,700 to $130,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
