The Marketing Sourcing Team collaborates with Media & Marketing professionals across the Walt Disney Company, to enhance the value of our marketing investments, by creatively crafting deals that deliver value across the enterprise, and improving the way we do business with our partners. The Marketing Category includes, Advertising, Creative Services, Digital, Events, Social Media, CRM, Market Research, Marketing Technology, and other marketing services.

What You Will Do

In this role you will focus primarily on Creative Services with marketing partners to make thoughtful sourcing decisions in selecting agencies, technologies & other service providers, to increase the value of our campaign investments, and to mitigate risks through smart contract negotiations. This includes running RFP’s, negotiating enterprise & segment level deals, managing supplier relationships, recommending best-in-class suppliers & innovations, facilitating process improvements and bringing partners across the segments together for collaboration and maximizing opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day management of global, crossline business deals with major agency partners and marketing departments across the enterprise
  • Review and redline statement of work contracts to ensure they meet our objectives and effectively mitigate risk, while upholding the creative integrity of the brand
  • Build and maintain proactive, responsive relationships with stakeholders and partners by understanding their needs and promptly addressing concerns
  • Identify RFP opportunities with supporting rationale, assist in RFP launch and evaluation process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills are critical as this position will be interfacing with Global & Local Sourcing/Marketing/Finance/Business Unit clients on a regular basis.
 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ Years of strategic sourcing and/or relevant work experience
  • Individual Contributor that is effective at managing tasks and projects independently
  • Builds strong working relationships across lines of business and leadership levels
  • Builds strong working relationships across lines of business and executive leadership levels
  • Strategic thinker & creative problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Proven project management skills and experience
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at any given time
  • Ability to persevere with ambiguity
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop coherent insights and strategies to maximize value.
  • Complex financial modeling experience
  • Completes scorecard analytics for sourcing initiatives
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Power Point and Word)
  • Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
  • High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Creative, PR, Marcoms, or other marketing fields.
  • Experience working with Agencies, a plus
  • Experience in negotiations of professional and/or technical services
  • Marketing background is a plus.
  • Marketing Sourcing background is a plus.
  • Advanced AirTable skills
  • Experience with Coupa and Sourcing Project Mgmt. Systems
  • Ability to plan and execute against both short- and long-term goals.
  • CPMP or CPSM

Education

Required Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field

Preferred Education:

  • Masters Degree/MBA

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
