The Enterprise Sourcing Media Team collaborates with Media professionals across the Walt Disney Company, to enhance the value of our media investments, by assessing opportunities, staying abreast of industry trends, creatively crafting deals that deliver value across the enterprise, and improving the way we do business with our partners. The media sourcing team collaborates with media leads across all lines of business, focusing on sourcing opportunities with digital and traditional media buys and publishers, media agencies, and media buying technologies.

What You Will Do

The focus of this role is to work with media stakeholders from each line of business to make smart sourcing decisions in evaluating media publisher deals, selecting agencies, technologies & other service providers, maximizing the value of our media investments, and mitigating risks through smart contract negotiations.

  • Day-to-day management of global, crossline business deals with major digital publishing partners and media benefits across the enterprise
  • Review and redline contracts to ensure they meet our objectives and effectively mitigate risk
  • Build and maintain proactive, responsive relationships with stakeholders and partners by understanding their needs and promptly addressing concerns
  • Identify RFP opportunities with supporting rationale, assist in RFP launch and evaluation process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills are critical as this position will be interfacing with Global & Local Sourcing/Marketing/Finance/Business Unit clients on a regular basis.
 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ Years of strategic sourcing and/or experience working in an in-house media role or media agency supporting complex clients
  • Effective at managing tasks and projects independently
  • Builds strong working relationships across lines of business and leadership levels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop coherent insights and strategies to maximize value.
  • Strategic thinker & creative problem solver
  • Ability to persevere with ambiguity
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Completes scorecard analytics for sourcing initiatives
  • Complex financial modeling experience
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with Coupa and Per Angusta, a plus
  • Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances

Preferred Qualifications

  • Media industry (Digital Media - social media, digital marketing, etc.) background is a plus
  • Media Sourcing background is a plus

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field

Preferred Education

Master’s degree/MBA


The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
