The Indirect Graduate Tax Intern must be able to follow a tax calendar and complete all tasks to timely and accurately complete indirect tax returns, (including Property Tax & Sales & Use Tax), and related payments for all Disney U.S., U.S. Territory or Canadian entities. This role will be responsible for supporting tax audits and research. The ideal candidate will keep abreast of tax law developments and communicate to team members any impact to their business unit responsibilities. The position requires a strong willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

What you will do
This role is part of the Indirect Tax group within Tax Operations and reports to Manager, Indirect Tax. In addition to those noted above, other key responsibilities of the role include:
Primary Focus will be to generate and analyze necessary reports for preparation of property tax, & sales/use tax for assigned business area(s).
Reconcile indirect tax activity to the general ledger.
Analyze and communicate relevant tax rule changes to team members and leadership that could impact the business.
Act as a business partner with various teams within Disney, including technology teams, controllership and finance.
Support leadership related to audit requests as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications

Intermediate Excel experience (advanced Excel is a plus)

Alteryx experience
Required Education
Currently pursuing (or recently graduated within 6 months) a Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or other related major
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Internship Eligibility
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025. Interns must be fully available 40 hours/week for the duration of the internship.
