The Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) organization informs strategy development through relevant data analytics, integration, and insights. We provide consumer centric solutions through deep understanding of all relevant audiences.
You will reside within the Walt Disney World Consumer Insight Team. This team identifies demand drivers and revenue opportunities, explores consumer needs to inform long-term strategies, and maximizes the guest experience across our four theme parks, water parks, Resorts, and Disney Springs to build long-term consumer loyalty and sustainable profitability.
The Manager, Consumer Insight role will support Pricing and Annual Pass Research responsible for providing breakthrough insights used to drive business strategies, identify opportunities, and mitigate risk. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and executing quantitative research projects to inform pricing strategies, conduct in-depth advanced statistical analysis on existing data, and identify and implement innovative data solutions to deliver timely and comprehensive insights.
This role reports to a Senior Manager, Consumer Insight.
Responsibilities
Integrate Insights – Summarize multiple sources of information to provide holistic perspectives and recommendations to identify new business opportunities and provide forward-looking projections.
Think Expansively – Demonstrate curiosity and challenge the status quo to create new ways to analyze and summarize data insights and patterns.
Analyze data and draw conclusions – Create fact-based insights, test hypotheses, and build models to produce objective, clear, and actionable insights.
Exercise leadership – Lead consumer insight projects with personal accountability. Manage all phases of the research process including needs identification, methodology design, survey design, cross-functional management, data mining, and presentation of results, using the proper techniques along the way that provide insights and actionable results that address the business opportunities.
Strengthen Partnerships – Develop and further relationships with internal partners to build influence, manage external vendors, and lead specific work-streams and cross-function deliverables.
Tell Stories – Use all available resources to communicate findings in an easily understandable way that is actionable for the business.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a related field of research (e.g. marketing/sales, market research, business analytics, strategic planning, new product development)
Demonstrate an understanding of travel industry, business performance metrics,and financial results
Familiar with pricing research studies on price elasticity, demand measurement, and product/portfolio optimization (e.g., using Conjoint, MaxDiff, van Westendorp, or Gabor-Granger)
Experience in quantitative research design, analysis, and interpretation
Experience in data analytics, including management and manipulation of large data sets through statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Python)
Experience turning data into insights and communicating complex ideas with simplicity and concision
Ability to effectively translate data into actionable insights and create compelling presentations through data visualization in PowerPoint (Tableau is a plus)
Critical thinker, ability to sort through complex business issues, and think out of the box
Demonstrate strong work ethic and high intellectual curiosity
High attention to detail and accuracy is a must
Experience presenting to senior leaders and executives
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with SAS, SPSS, SQL, and/or Snowflake
Hands-on experience conducting pricing research studies on price elasticity, demand measurement, and product/portfolio optimization (e.g., using Conjoint, MaxDiff, van Westendorp, or Gabor-Granger)
Experience with Tableau to create in depth visualizations
Deep understanding of the Walt Disney World Resort business, Guest experience and products
Experience in the theme park, hospitality or entertainment industry
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field
Preferred Education
Master's degree in business and/or data analytics field of study
