About the Role & Team

Primary function of this position is the responsibility for purchasing and logistics systems (AMOS/SAP, etc.), inventory control systems (AMOS/SAP, etc.) and coordinating other related activities with the appropriate shore based and shipboard staff. Technical support for the purchasing system (AMOS/SAP, etc.) and accounts payable function for Disney Cruise Line Marine Technical Operations material purchase orders, which involves partnering with Walt Disney World Strategic Sourcing, Walt Disney World Distribution Services, Walt Disney World Shared Services, all company operating areas, and vendors!

What You Will Do

  • Procurement, Inventory and Maintenance System for Marine Technical Operations: AMOS
  • Assist in system administrative support for user setup and security/permissions.
  • Approve and process new vendor requests for Disney Cruise Line, which includes vendor setups in both AMOS and the Disney Supplier Management Portal (DSMP).
  • Provide applicable guidance and system training for new system users
  • Monitor interface between AMOS and SAP to see correct payments are posted to the correct vendor account when goods are received onboard.
  • Provide guidance for functions, processes and requirements related to AMOS, ShipServ and applicable SAP transactions.
  • Partner with appropriate teams for system failures in AMOS and lead resolution efforts
  • Identify technical and process system improvement opportunities, drive problem solving efforts and aid in implementation of identified solutions for system issues and process gaps
  • Ad hoc project support for system upgrades and improvements, which may include leading system testing and implementation (e.g. Blue Yonder integration)
  • Document processes and create SOPs for existing and new processes
  • Develop and maintain new processes and reporting
  • Support operational accounts payable tasks related to processing payment for Marine Technical Operations business units, as well as select hotel operations purchasing as vital
  • Assist in resolving trouble payments (discrepancies, overages, substitutions, RTVs, credit hold, etc.)
  • Use of AMOS and SAP for order/invoice payment and tracking.
  • Provide system support for month end reporting and payment processes
  • Issue Tax Exempt Certificates to requesting vendors and keep copy for taxes.
  • Find opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiencies in the accounts payable function
  • Support end users with SAP/Coupa issues.
  • Process debit and credit memos in accordance with vendor invoices
  • Provide systems support for Hotel Operations team creating purchase orders in SAP/Coupa, including system integration and reconciliation of payment discrepancies.
  • SMS responsibility for upholding the general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System within the areas under their control.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven familiarity of purchasing/inventory systems and software (e.g. AMOS, SAP-WMS)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement process skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated and independent
  • Proficiency in Financial Systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and complex processes
  • Proven proficiency in sophisticated Excel spreadsheets functions and database concepts/system
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn new software applications
  • Flexibility in changing processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of the Disney Cruise Line product
  • Experience working in SAP and AMOS
  • Knowledge of the Blue Yonder warehousing system
  • Knowledge of Coupa
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, circumstances and personal interaction styles
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience with audit support and data mining
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including holidays and overtime

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, IT or equivalent work experience
