The approximate date of this internship is June 2026 to December 2026, located in Glendale, CA.
What You Will Do
- Work on technology development projects, which may include drones, virtual production, video game design, 3d printing, building robots, or something else!
- Develop prototypes and small-scale mockups to test technical feasibility and support creative assessment of functionality
- Work on projects that impact our international and domestic offerings, which include stage productions, nighttime spectaculars, puppetry, interactive characters and worlds, etc.
- Assist with technical research and documentation development
- Track and review incoming and outgoing communication and deliverables
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including creative, production, designers, consultants, and vendors
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for technology and live entertainment
- Fabrication skills, technical production, or design experience
- Experience working with real-time interactive digital worlds, such as Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, and Unity
- Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations, distilling technical details into simple written and visual communication
- Familiarity with entertainment programming software (such as MA 3D, Navigator, Hippotizer, Qaysi)
- Experience working with digital illustration tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, Maya, Rhino, and 3ds Max
- Thorough, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Work collaboratively and independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint or Keynote
- Demonstrated proficiency in modeling software, including CADD (Revit and/or AutoCAD)
- Experience in an entertainment or theatrical technical environment
Preferred Education:
- Junior, Senior, and Graduate students earning or completing an MFA in a technical design-related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Additional Internal Posting:
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
- Must provide own housing

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $26.50 per hour.
