An opportunity exists to join our dynamic organization as Senior Financial Systems Analyst responsible for supporting the implementation of SAP’s S/4HANA general ledger with a particular focus on supporting the changes to our accounting process due to S/4HANA Simplification impacts in our record to consolidate and media title accounting functions. You will also be deeply involved in testing, end-user preparation and support. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Systems. Come join us and be part of this dynamic team!

What You Will Do

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will play a key role in supporting the technical conversion of Disney’s SAP general ledger to S/4HANA. The Financial Systems program team members represent the finance community of end-users and analyze and remediate the impact of the system changes on accounting processes occurring with the new application S/4HANA. You will work with subject matter experts and the Sr. Manager, Financial Systems on the S/4 project on various process areas redesigning accounting processes to align with the S/4 functionality and in accordance with Disney accounting policies. You will assist with preparing functional requirements, perform business functional tests and support the testing strategies for end-user acceptance testing.

You will also be involved in the upcoming effort to replace the company’s consolidation application and implementing this new solution. This will include participating in vendor and product evaluations, solution decisions and implementation. The SFSA will ensure application functionality meets the defined requirements. You will participate in identifying improvement opportunities and partnering with the relevant controllership teams to design and implement effective and efficient solutions.

Ideal candidate will have an accounting background with knowledge of accounting systems such as the general ledger and related applications, familiarity with financial process standard methodologies, excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work independently and in a team, adapt to changes, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of financial or accounting experience, preferably in large SAP installations.
  • Experience in a large company and matrix organization.
  • Minimum 3 years of expertise in financial systems and business processes.
  • Understanding of business processes with the ability to develop and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work independently under moderate direction and supervision.
  • Proficient in achieving tasks and problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Experience delivering training to end users.
  • Strong analytical skills and issue resolution capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA license, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP or another ERP, and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
  • Experience in implementing financial processes and systems.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Information Technology

Preferred Education

  • Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (e.g., MAC, MBA, MIS).


The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $111,900.00 to $136,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
