Job Summary:

The Enterprise Reporting team is responsible for The Walt Disney Company’s 10K/10Q filing process and other SEC and non-SEC financial statement results for various reporting requirements. This team also prepares analyses for internal reporting requirements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analyses for the Company’s two business segments (Disney Experiences, Entertainment (comprised of Linear Networks, Direct-to-Consumer and Content Sales/Licensing and Other) and Sports). In responding to executives, analysts or press inquiries concerning the Company, there is significant interaction between Enterprise Reporting and several key corporate departments, including Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, and the office of the CFO. This position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the external reporting requirements including preparation of the quarterly earnings release and management discussion and analysis for Content Sales/Licensing and Other (CSL&O)

  • Review the CSL&O cause-of-change analysis and supporting schedules. Preparation of segment business unit analysis package and various ad hoc schedules and analysis

  • Preparation of quarterly supporting schedules and results for investor relations and external auditors

  • Preparation and analysis of various financial statement footnote disclosures

  • Coordinate and participate in quarterly close meetings with the segments

  • Prepare various ad hoc schedules and analyses

  • Lead/implement various ad hoc analyses

  • Support the implementation of improvement in execution initiatives

Key collaborators:

  • Coordination and interaction with segment teams and executives in Controllership and Investor Relations, including preparing results, ad hoc questions and analysis

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel proficiency using pivot tables, Match Index, H-&V-lookups, etc., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong accounting and control knowledge required, specifically with respect to financial reporting and systems

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration


The hiring range for this position in California is 101,790 to $124,410 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
