This role is within our Music Programming team and involves curating and scheduling music content, staying updated with industry trends, and supporting the overall programming strategy. The incumbent will contribute to creating an engaging and diverse music line-up, ensuring a seamless viewer experience and promoting the channel's success.

Context:
This role is crucial within our Star Maa Music team, where the objective is to deliver an immersive and captivating music experience to the viewers. This position plays a key role in supporting the programming team by curating a diverse range of music content, managing scheduling, and staying informed about the latest music trends. By understanding the target audience and aligning programming decisions with the channel's brand identity, this role helps shape the channel's content strategy and contributes to the channel's overall success in the competitive music industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining programming schedules, ensuring smooth transitions between shows and maintaining a diverse music lineup.

  • Conducting research on music trends, audience preferences, and competitors to provide insights for programming decisions.

  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date database for music content, including song titles, artists, and relevant information is maintained.

  • Reviewing music videos and content for quality, compliance with regulations, and adherence to channel standards.

  • Collaborating with other departments such as production, marketing, and promotions to coordinate programming-related activities and campaigns.

  • Monitoring audience feedback, comments, and requests, and providing input on potential adjustments to programming based on audience preferences.

  • Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging artists, and new music releases to contribute fresh ideas and enhance programming offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate with 3-6 years’ work experience in a related role.
