We are seeking a Senior Manager- Technical Services to join our Technical Services group, overseeing Alarm Systems and Key Control for Walt Disney World. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity and reliability of critical assets, while championing the safety of Cast and Guests. You will guide a team of 59 skilled leaders and technicians, manage a substantial annual operating budget, and play a pivotal part in creating a culture where “No One Gets Hurt.” Your expertise will be instrumental in solving complex challenges, meeting time-sensitive project goals, and inspiring your team to reach new heights.
As a Senior Manager- Technical Services, you will set the vision for your organization, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in daily operations. What You Will Do
Management and Leadership
Formulate and execute safety initiatives that enhance the well-being of Guests and Cast, fostering a safety-oriented culture committed to the principle of “No One Gets Hurt”.
Establish a vision for your team that fosters innovation and delivers continual improvement.
Effectively manage financial resources including responsibility for the annual operating plan and the capex program.
Approach high priority problems with a sense of urgency and create a culture within your team that applies that same urgency to problem solving and implementation.
Hold teams accountable for performance that meets or exceeds expectations and aligns with organizational vision.
Engage with cast and customers in the field daily.
Respond to significant events (attraction downtimes, facility outages).
Understand your operation and train cast members to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
Translate reports and data in which Cast Members can take action and improve performance.
Understand the union contract and administer the guidelines fairly and consistently.
Technical Aptitude
Manage projects efficiently, covering scope, budget, resources, schedule, and communication.
Inspect quality of completed preventive maintenance and reconcile to job plans.
Demonstrate and apply strong computer skills and embrace technology.
Continuously seek innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Relationships
Create a culture that produces high performance teams by actively participating, cultivating and developing relationships, and maintaining positive relationships with union representatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Over 5 years' experience with fire alarm systems.
Capable of communicating and interacting efficiently with colleagues at every level within the organization.
Experience with various types of Siemens and Edwards System Technologies (EST) fire alarm panels.
Strong understanding of alarm software and reporting.
Able to read and interpret contracts and fire alarm drawings across disciplines. Skilled in writing, planning, coordinating, and presenting to individuals and groups by various methods.
Must be well versed in “off premise” monitoring.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is required for creating and managing spreadsheets, databases, project correspondence, budgets, and projections.
Possesses extensive expertise in financial management.
Familiarity with electronic door access systems.
Preferred Qualifications
NICET Certification required.
License - State of Florida Electrical Fire Unlimited or Electrical Contractor.
Familiarity with NFPA 25 / 72.
7 or more years of experience in related field.
Education
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
A postgraduate degree in a technical discipline- preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $145,900 to $195,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
