Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Associate Specialist, Media Relations to join our Communications & Public Affairs team. This role supports the planning and execution of media relations activities to promote the company’s business, initiatives, and reputation. This position is well‑suited for candidates with early‑career experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications, who are looking to further develop their professional skills in a structured, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of media activities, including press events, interviews, media visits, and joint media projects.
  • Assist in preparing press materials, such as press releases, briefing notes, key messages, Q&A documents, and background information.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across different Lines of Business to support promotion of the company’s services and offerings through media channels.
  • Assist in handling routine media enquiries by coordinating information internally and supporting timely responses under guidance.
  • Monitor and compile media coverage and public sentiment across traditional and social media platforms; prepare media summaries and basic reports.
  • Maintain and update media lists, databases, and filing systems to ensure accurate and organized record‑keeping.
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative and operational support to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Media Relations team.
  • Support CSR‑related events and initiatives to help promote the company as a responsible corporate citizen.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • 1–4 years of relevant working experience in media relations, public relations, corporate communications, journalism, or related fields.
  • Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for a Public Affairs Assistant position.
  • Strong interest in media relations and corporate communications, with a proactive and learning‑oriented mindset.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in both English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools, presentation materials, or basic content development is an advantage.
