Job Basic Scope
- Able to lead project schedule development of a project valued at $250 million or more and requiring minimal supervision from executive or lead planner.
- Develop and maintain project life cycle and project master schedules using Primavera.
- Prepare project plans and work with scoping/strategy documents to develop integrated project master schedules.
- Coordinate with project teams and disciplines to develop project strategies, risk mitigations, and recovery/acceleration plans.
- Conduct and lead planning meetings as required to collect information in support of planning and monitoring functions.
- Ensure effective application of appropriate policies and procedures, including project planning/scheduling procedures and reporting requirements.
- Develop project-phasing plans; advanced project resource analysis.
- Develop executive business communications and presentations.
- Develop schedule-reporting specification for the contract bid packages and determine Schedule Milestones and/or Key Dates.
- Analyze claims for Extension Of Time (EOT)
- Scope of responsibility may include any of the following depending on project size: show/ride concept development, show, ride, facility and area development design, show and ride production and installation, show and ride test and adjust, show programming and building construction disciplines.
Communication/ Influence
- Working with project team members as required to collect, assemble information for assembly of project execution plans.
- Collects status and progress information from project leads and or vendors.
- Evaluates project variance information and or trends for team assessment and review for actions.
- Analyzes and evaluates potential schedule issues to team. Develop alternative strategies to support on time completion of projects.
- Works with team members to validate and analyze information relevant to planning and scheduling tasks and or progress/status reporting.
Technical Skills
- Thorough knowledge of company planning/scheduling procedures, planning techniques, all architectural/engineering and internal discipline groups.
- Must be well organized and a self-starter with strong communication, computer and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of practical project controls applications.
- Manage implementation of earned value system and analyze performance.
- Possess strong relationship skills and the ability to work successfully with all members of the project team.
- Provide leadership to interns, associates, staff and outside consultants as needed.
- Develop, status, and analyze critical path of project schedules using Primavera and or other CPM project planning tools.
- Lead contractors, responsible project team members, WDI performing work groups to develop and integrate activity durations and logic sequences required to perform project work.
- Strong knowledge of design, manufacturing, construction, and statutory approval process
- Contribute knowledge for training and lessons learned.
- Strong knowledge of Disney theme parks, show/ride product lines.
Language & Software Skills
- Proficient in English speaking and writing
- Skillful In Primavera P6 Professional and MS Project
- Knowledge and ability to use graphic programs as needed, including Acrobat, Netpoint, PowerPoint, etc.
