Job Summary:

This role requires you to be based in our Hammersmith office 4 days a week.

This is a fixed-term contract expected to last until November 2025.

About the Role & Team

Disney+ is looking for a Social Media Manager to join the Disney+ EMEA Social & Comms team for a parental cover contract. Our team is responsible for leading and delivering all the fantastic promotional campaigns for our local original titles and select general entertainment titles, including Extraordinary, Rivals, FX's The Bear, The Kardashians, Only Murders in The Building, and many more!

Are you able to turn your hand quickly and confidently to developing and implementing an effective social campaign strategy with clear objectives to market our show? In this role you will have direct responsibility for ensuring EMEA markets can deliver their own activations and social content through an established approval process.

What You Will Do

  • Own social media campaigns for a range of shows and movies on Disney+, working with the wider marketing and comms team to devise and deliver on both platform and campaign strategy.

  • Work closely with regional, local, and global partners in the US to plan content roll outs and coordinate and distribute assets amongst markets.

  • Day to day, will coordinate Disney+ UK’s social media accounts, planning the content calendar and ensuring it is in-line with business priorities, as well as sourcing and producing content, reviewing copy and reporting on content success against benchmarks.

  • Manage the Disney+ Social Coordinator and Supervisor; mentor them and support them to deliver on their own priority campaigns.

  • Responsible for working with our internal creative team, as well as creative agencies and external production agencies to deliver impactful social campaigns that will generate engagement and ultimately funnel viewers back to watch our shows on Disney+

  • Support local EMEA markets with their priority show launches, source content, and provide best practice recommendations.

  • Contribute to talent junkets and events; from ideation to liaising with talent agents, arranging shoots, and capturing content for the UK and EMEA social feeds.

  • Work with talent and their teams to harness their communities and drive awareness of their shows and where to watch on platform.

  • Report regularly on campaign performance, share insights with wider business and voice recommendations on how to accelerate impact and improve efficiency.

  • Keep up to date with emerging content trends, platform tools etc, to ensure strategy is evolving in-line with the industry, ensuring local EMEA markets and Regional teams are informed too.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Expertise in a social marketing role, preferably within the entertainment or broadcast industries.

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and social copywriting skills, with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.

  • Content calendar planning – you’re confident owning upcoming calendars, leading the charge with a comprehensive view of what is happening.

  • Proficient understanding of social media platforms and the UK social landscape, awareness of what’s trending each week, and familiarity with the best strategies for each platform. Ideally, existing network of contacts at the platforms.

  • Demonstrable experience briefing campaign elements to agencies and creative teams, collaborating closely with designers and video editors to deliver campaign assets.

  • Experience of people management and helping others to perform to the best of their abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills, data is your friend and you will know how to strike the right balance between data and gut feel when planning a campaign & producing content.

  • Experience using social media management tools (such as Emplifi, CrowdTangle and Brandwatch), for monitoring conversations and measuring campaign success.

  • A track record of coming up with innovative, cross-platform ideas that will get noticed, generate engagement, and grow acquisitions.

  • Experience in working in a highly collaborative manner with colleagues across several departments and services.
