Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s new Direct to Consumer video entertainment service targeted to families. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star) with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms (e.g. televisions, mobile devices).
This role will be responsible for the design of the Disney+ social media strategy, centred on enhancing the performance and efficiency of new and existing social media all across the company and third parties as well as managing the design, localization and delivery of new ones optimizing assets and performance. The role is based 4 days a week in our Madrid office, with one from home.
The Disney+ team is responsible for the roll out and ongoing performance and operations of Disney+ across EMEA, specifically focused on programming strategy, marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, research, and analytics.
Working hand in glove with EMEA social leads, you will directly manage the Spanish social presence for Disney+ across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, developing brand and specific IP social campaigns and defining local tone of voice and content pillars.
Building audiences and hands-on community management are key elements of this role with the overall aim of effectively and efficiently increasing awareness for what Disney has to offer, growing affinity with a range of audiences and driving interest and engagement with key brands and properties. Use social listening and moderation of Disney platforms to quickly identify and understand the Spanish audience. Work with the creative team to effectively and efficiently plan, produce and content manage seamless editorial that adheres to our brand values whilst pushing boundaries across key social and digital platforms.
What will you do
Plan & implement the local social media strategy.
Manage content calendars, scheduling and publishing of content alongside the social media agency.
Grow and nurture our social channels to ensure Disney is a key player in Spain’s social conversation
Use social listening and data to inform & pivot social strategy as well as monitor conversations around our brand and content to inform our social media content and tone of voice.
Work cross functionally with the marketing team, PR team, local originals team, regional team and other stakeholders to ensure social is a key driver for our brand’s communication efforts
Coordinate with the paid social lead and brand managers to ensure our paid social efforts are applied efficiently.
What will you bring
Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal in Spanish and English – are vital and the successful candidate must be able to communicate and respond in the appropriate tone of voice to all Disney audiences;
Proven experience in agency management, including briefing, oversight of deliverables, budget control, and performance evaluation, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and measurable business impact;
Analytical skills, confident working with data and numbers with a keen eye to detail;
Demonstrated ability in problem solving by team working;
Deep understanding of the influencer ecosystem, including talent identification and performance measurement, with the ability to evaluate and report on impact using relevant KPIs and data-driven insights;
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in diverse group settings;
Proactively identify trends and opportunities to drive action and deliver value;
Be a driver for innovation, with an appetite for testing and learning.
Passionate about social media trends, entertainment world and Disney culture.
Demonstrable professional experience with Social Media brand channels (major brands) working within SVOD, TV or Film industry.
