Job Summary:

Disney Entertainment’s DTC FP&A Team is seeking a Senior Manager to join the team, reporting to the Director, FP&A. This role will be heavily involved in partnering with the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and other DTC lines of business to consolidate subscribers, financials, and other KPIs to convey the story of the DTC business. The Senior Manager will be expected to work independently and respond to the dynamic environment with a positive demeanor.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead financial consolidations for Direct-to-Consumer businesses during key planning cycles, including forecast, Annual Operating Plan & LRP

  • Champion innovation and develop new methods to deliver more timely data visualizations and insights to senior executives

  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the consolidated Annual Operating Plan and Disney Streaming forecasts, including senior management presentations

  • Actively work with key stakeholders, operating groups, and finance team members to improve the effectiveness of the financial planning process, assumptions and results while analyzing forecast information to identify trends, and develop key storylines

  • Liaise with Segment and Investor Relations to illustrate financial & metric narrative ahead of earnings calls

  • Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis to support executive requests

  • Proactively identify, recommend, and drive improvements for existing models and processes

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience

  • Previous experience leading/manging Junior employees

  • Very strong analytical skills with experience identifying and resolving issues

  • High level of proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to work cross functionally, managing many stakeholders and building relationships throughout the company

  • Proactive and creative in approaching problems and presenting financial data

  • Extremely organized with the ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A good understanding of the entertainment industry and Direct-to-Consumer business models

  • Prior experience in financial/ business planning or finance; preferably working in or with large organizations

  • Prior experience with financial systems such as SAP and Cognos

  • Experience with data transformation and visualization tools such as PowerQuery and Power BI

Education:

  • BA/BS (focus on Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field a plus)


The hiring range for this position in NY is $151,800.00-$189,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
