DISNEY CRUISE LINE - SINGAPORE

The Senior Business Development Manager, Greater China is a critical leadership role within Disney Cruise Line, responsible for driving sales strategy, distribution, and trade engagement across Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
This role partners closely with the Director, Travel Trade Sales as Disney Cruise Line continues to build and grow demand for Disney Adventure, sailing from Singapore.

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION


The Senior Business Development Manager, Greater China will be accountable for end‑to‑end sales performance, developing and executing a strong distribution strategy across OTA, wholesalers, and retail travel trade partners.

This role requires deep regional market knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build and sustain high‑impact partnerships. You will work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Strategy, and Operations to ensure a cohesive go‑to‑market approach across the region.

Frequent travel to Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing this role with excellence requires being results‑oriented, demonstrating strong strategic vision, commercial judgement, influencing skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, complex operating environment.

In this role, the candidate will:

  • Own and lead the sales distribution and engagement strategy across Greater China to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and execute market‑specific sales plans, adapting nimbly to market dynamics and growth opportunities
  • Build, manage, and activate strong relationships with key OTAs, wholesalers, and top trade partners
  • Leverage deep understanding of e‑commerce, online travel consumption, and evolving consumer behaviour to ensure optimal market presence
  • Lead commercial negotiations and optimise campaigns to maximise ROI and market impact
  • Drive market presence across multiple trade channels through targeted business development initiatives
  • Evaluate partner performance and calibrate co‑op marketing investments to drive the strongest business outcomes
  • Partner closely with Marketing teams to deliver fully integrated sales and marketing execution
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners, working effectively across time zones
  • Travel frequently across the market to maintain strong on‑the‑ground relationships and market insights

LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION

  • Act as a trusted partner to regional and global stakeholders
  • Provide clear market direction and insights to leadership
  • Serve as a collaborative, proactive leader who models professionalism, accountability, and optimism

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior or leadership sales role within the travel industry
  • Proven track record managing Greater China travel trade markets
  • Strong experience in large‑scale travel operations and complex distribution environments
  • Exceptional understanding of travel trade, OTA ecosystems, and commercial sales models
  • Highly skilled in negotiation, partner management, and performance optimisation
  • Strong analytical capability with ability to interpret performance metrics and translate insights into action
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • MBA or strong commercial business background
