Job Summary:

Hulu's Marketing team is seeking a Media Planner to join our Brand Media team. You will be responsible for helping to build, strategize and execute integrated media recommendations across a number of Brand, Live and Licensed marketing initiatives. The right person for this role is passionate not only for media and TV, but also growing the Hulu business. If you are someone who has managed entertainment media campaigns, is highly organized, and loves working cross-functionally, then this is a great role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of media campaigns including: budget management, development of media plans, establishing and evaluating KPIs/benchmarks, testing targets, and monitoring and assessing performance across all channels (Broadcast, Radio, OOH, Digital, Programmatic, Social etc.).

  • Work closely with the media team to provide recommendations to improve strategies, tactics, visibility, and drive results.

  • Stay up-to-date with media and industry trends (including audience insights, viewership trends, competitive intel, etc.) to help build go-to-market approaches.

  • Drive forward unique creative visions, working closely with Marketing to execute on creative strategies and ideas to breakthrough.

  • Conduct weekly campaign optimizations and performance analysis against campaign goals and work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to increase performance and pivot in real time.

  • Work with the cross-functional agency team to develop strong total communications approach.

  • Collaborate with media and marketing managers across brand and licensed priorities to ensure media campaigns ladder up to overall campaign objectives.

  • Provide campaign support to managers, including but not limited to driving kick off calls, creative tracking, billing and scope of work assistance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in integrated media planning for entertainment brands.

  • An understanding of Integrated Media Planning with a deep generalist knowledge set of all media channels.

  • Flexibility; the desire to pivot in real-time with the ability to have a creative approach to problem solving – finding the yes rather than saying no.

  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and collaborative team player mentality.

  • Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as Google Docs.


The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $63,400 to $85,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
