This role is a 6 months maternity cover role based in Singapore. The selected candidate is targeted to start in August 2024.

This role will be key position, partnering with the Manager, Media & Digital as part of the Media team as we prepare to create magic at sea in Southeast Asia.  You will be a crucial part of supporting the digital and social strategy for the successful introduction and sustainment of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship Disney Adventure to sail from Singapore beginning in 2025. 

This role will report to the Manager, Media & Digital, and will play a strong role in the expansion, supporting digital and social media planning and supporting integration with sales and communication teams to ensure optimal integrated communications plans across paid, earned and owned paving the way for a successful entry into these exciting markets with custom-tailored plans to the Southeast Asia consumer. 

This role will be responsible to support the media plans in all markets, supporting market specific media strategies which will act as the core foundation of the go to market campaign approach in each country.  The individual will have a strong understanding of media consumption, with a strong competence in digital and social channels across key markets of Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia.  The role collaborates with the communications disciplines across creative, partnership and internal company synergy to drive effective communication strategies that motivates the consumer through the purchase funnel of awareness, product understanding and conversion.

You should be an energetic, proactive, self-starter with experience working within a media, digital or social organization ideally with large-scale travel industry business clients.  Candidates must work well in teams and possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment across countries and time zones.

Responsibilities:

Performing the role with excellence includes having strong collaboration skills, keen understanding of media and social platforms and consumer engagement, creative thinker, learning agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to navigate a complex launch on an accelerated timeline.

In this role, you will:

  • Be part of a dynamic team excited to achieve both professional and business goals.
  • Support developing audience-centric plans, understanding budgets, audience sizing, consumer insights, media flighting, message distribution, and reporting.
  • Partner with leader and strategy partners, understanding their goals, identifying new ways to innovate growth and showcasing new ideas in the digital and social media landscape in collaboration with agency.
  • Ensure translation of marketing strategy into clear briefs to inform media planning agency. 
  • Develop strong social strategy and consider content pipeline with social agency.
  • Drive impactful KPI performance.
  • Develop and integrate consumer engagement strategies in partnership with marketing strategy and communications team partners to reach key audiences.
  • Support the development of detailed content and asset distribution plans and orchestrate their input to creative and content production teams.
  • Work hand in hand with agency team to ensure optimal and affordable creative / media strategy.
  • Ensure on the pulse of media consumption habits especially across digital and social engagement.
  • Ownership of project management to bring initiatives to life, shifting and optimizing to beat goals.
  • Provide support to paid marketing budgets, supervise channel spend allocations, monitor for pacing and delivery, and re-forecast / replan to achieve business and revenue goals based on campaign performance data.
  • Ensure effective measurement plans for continuous learning and optimized media performance.
  • Develop presentations highlighting campaign / performance wins, insights, and future opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in omni-channel, media planning (owned and paid), marketing communications. Emphasis on digital and social media engagement.
  • Experience developing strategic media, social media, creative marketing plans in Southeast Asia.
  • Keen understanding of the APAC region.
  • Experience in managing social channels in a fast-paced environment reliant upon successful collaboration and integration of key stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking with excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus superior professionalism
  • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
