One of these ships will exclusively homeport in Singapore for at least five years beginning in 2025, marking the cruise line’s debut in Southeast Asia.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS AND POSITION

Add to that the tremendous geographical coverage of this region and you have a role which is truly varied. In view of Southeast Asia’s growth, we are now seeking a Specialist, Sales Planning and Development to support the sales team for Disney Cruise Line.

This position requires effective coordination with the Sales Team and integration with various internal business units to guarantee a unified marketing and sales strategy within the region. Excellence in this role is characterized by a results-driven approach, established relationship-building and persuasion abilities, quick learning capacity, and the competence to excel in a dynamic, high-velocity setting, enabling the management of intricate launches on expedited schedules.


Ideal candidates will be vigorous, proactive self-starters with a background in the large-scale travel industry. They must excel in team settings and demonstrate a strong aptitude for collaborative work.

FOCUS

  • Support sales product development by aiding in the creation of comprehensive fulfillment and logistics plans, as well as communication materials, with a focus on products channeled through third-party distributors of greater complexity.
  • Oversee group business activities within the Sales Team, including the establishment of group profiles in sales systems and the generation of group contracts.
  • Collaborate with wholesalers and travel agents to ensure prompt and efficient follow-up on group inquiries.
  • Provide assistance to the Sales team in the compilation of sales reports, the execution of ad hoc projects, and the organization of trade events.
  • Work in tandem with the Group Coordinator to facilitate the seamless transition of groups, guaranteeing that all specific group requirements are meticulously documented and addressed.
  • Ad hoc projects to be assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a travel industry sales support role.  
  • Previous work experience in large scale travel operation  
  • Significant experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment reliant upon successful collaboration and integration of key stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of all facets travels industry sales, including traditional travel trade knowledge in ecommerce and online travel development. 
  • Experience in establishing sales distribution, managing key partners and driving results. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Travel Industry experience required.  

REQUIRED EDUCATION  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
