Disney Cruise Line Revenue Management is responsible for fleet-wide pricing, revenue planning, and inventory control.
The Sr. Revenue Management Analyst is the resident expert of their ship and its revenue strategy, and of the fulfillment process for Internal Requests for Guest Staterooms (IRGS). IRGS is the term used for business travel on DCL ships by Cast Members and vendors.
The Sr. Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for enacting a selling strategy, supporting pricing decisions that meet revenue goals, and working with other shoreside teams to ensure that each guest and IRGS reservation is paid in full and assigned a stateroom so the pier and onboard teams can provide a seamless guest experience. They are also responsible for developing and supporting ship specific reporting and onboard pricing strategies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Partner with Revenue Manager on inventory control strategies and implement real-time inventory controls in SeaWare, Disney Cruise Line’s reservation system, including opening and managing promotional offers
- Use SeaWare to book IRGS reservations, view inventory, adjust selling limits, assign staterooms, apply payments, apply manual adjustments, and void fees
- Monitor exception reports and/or the IRGS system to ensure guests, vendors, and Cast have fully paid applicable deposits and balances, as well as ensure policies are being followed
- Partner with various shoreside and shipboard teams to problem solve challenges, apply Guest Communications vouchers to reservations, and process IRGS
- Work with shipboard and RM team to block rooms for maintenance and IRGS while minimizing impact to guests and revenue
- Analyze onboard spend to make pricing, product, and inventory recommendations
- Partner with multiple departments to conceptualize new shipboard product offerings by providing data backed insights, potential financial impacts, and pricing recommendations
- Track and report onboard activity bookings to provide insights into the business and recommendations to improve utilization and take rates
- Produce local reporting including developing and maintaining tracking for key metrics by market
- Collaborate with Revenue Manager to generate group quotes for Sales team
- Answer IRGS system questions and provide guidance to users, and assist with testing and feedback of new tools and processes
- Provide back-up support for Revenue Manager in evaluating Revenue Management System pricing recommendations
- Apply data analysis and strategic thinking to ad hoc projects to support team priorities
- Evaluate existing processes and reports and suggest, develop, or implement improvements
Basic Requirements:
- Demonstrated Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Curiosity about using data to answer questions and communicate recommendations
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- Proven success collaborating with a range of partners
- Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Stand Out:
- Revenue Management, Pricing, or Cruise Industry experience
- Experience working with Seaware or other inventory control system
