How will you contribute to our magical experience?  

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Sports will lead the definition and execution of the sports marketing strategy in Mexico, driving sustained brand growth and business impact through a differentiated value proposition anchored in ESPN and fully integrated within the Disney+ ecosystem.

This role will be responsible for setting the strategic direction across Linear and DTC (Direct-to-Consumer), identifying growth opportunities, and maximizing the impact of key sports rights and tentpole moments. The Senior Manager will oversee budget allocation and investment strategy, ensuring efficient deployment of resources to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.

As a senior manager, this position will drive cross-functional alignment across Marketing, Media, BI, Content, Production, and Partnerships, while managing agencies and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class, insight-driven campaigns. Additionally, the role will be accountable for performance tracking, translating data into actionable strategies, and continuously optimizing the marketing mix to enhance ROI and competitive positioning in a highly dynamic landscape.

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Sports will be responsible for: 

  • Define and lead the sports marketing strategy in Mexico, aligning with business goals across Linear and DTC (Direct-to-Consumer).
  • Own go-to-market strategies for key sports events, ensuring maximum impact across acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Drive synergies across ESPN and Disney+, integrating sports within the broader Disney ecosystem.
  • Oversee 360° campaigns, ensuring consistency, innovation, and best-in-class execution across all touchpoints.
  • Lead measurement frameworks, using data and insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
  • Define and manage investment strategy, ensuring efficient allocation and strong financial control.
  • Align key stakeholders (Media, BI, Content, Production, etc.) to ensure strategic coherence and execution excellence.
  • Lead and develop the team, fostering a high-performance and results-driven culture.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  •  8+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on sports, entertainment, or media industries.
  • Degree in Marketing (preferred) or related careers.
  • Advanced level in English.
  • Proven track record in leading integrated marketing strategies and 360° campaigns across both Linear and DTC (Direct-to-Consumer)/streaming environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the sports industry is essential, including different leagues, disciplines, and fan engagement dynamics.
  • Experience managing large-scale budgets and optimizing media and non-media investments to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with agencies and external partners, with a focus on driving high-quality creative and strategic output.
  • Solid analytical skills, with experience leveraging data, insights, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and optimize ROI.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex findings clearly to internal teams, agencies and clients.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented and execution‑focused, with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Resilient and capable of working with short deadlines.
  • Social media and sports heavy user/consumer.
